Well, when I left the bank a few friends said hey, you should keep us updated with your blog. Well I haven't done it yet, but I just stumbled upon this old blog. Should I use it again...or go back to my Live Spaces blog...hard to say, but I can tell you one thing. When I stop typing and this thing auto saves, but moves my cursor somewhere it wasn't before I find that a little annoying. Ok, it didn't happen that time, maybe I was just hitting the touch pad accidentally.

Can't have a blog post without pictures though. Where am I gonna get a picture. I'd think I could pull one off of my Picasa account pretty easily.

Well, that seemed to work. I'll have to have someone else test to see if it works. That's a picture of Sam taking a picture of the Golden Gate bridge a few weeks ago.

Ok, that's enough for now...just testing to see if I still like Blogger.

New Blog with Photos

I'm not sure I'm going to abandon this blog, but for right now check out the new one. It has a nice photo album of my trip

The three albums out there now are
1. My brother’s wedding in Ixtapa, Mexico
2. A visit to the Mayan ruins in Palenque, Mexico (also some waterfalls)
3. A week’s worth of photos on Caye Caulker, Belize (scuba diving)

Once I get the Zihuatanejo photos back from my brother’s laptop I’ll have those out there too.

Off to Mexico

Well, I'm off to Ixtapa Mexico to be in my brother's wedding. I'm happy to get away for a couple of weeks though I will miss Chandra (pic on right). We have become very close over the last several weeks. She would have come to the wedding, but I didn't give her much advance notice and she doesn't get much vacation...but even though I only invited her 2 weeks ago she still looked into going. That meant a lot to me.

Ixtapa will be fun I'm sure. You may have heard of Ixtapa or the nearby Zihuatenejo (of Shawshank redemption fame). The family and I are flying into Mexico City and then stopping in some city on the way to Ixtapa...Craig is playing tour guide.

I'll spend the week in Ixtapa / Zih seeing sights with Chad and his wife Nicole as well as my mom & dad. My uncle Myron will be there too, but I'm not sure when he gets there and I'm not sure if his whole family is coming...

After Craig's wedding in Ixtapa I plan to trek over to Palenque to see some Mayan ruins and then on Belize to do some scuba diving.

Well I better finish packing...my flight leaves at 9:25am.

Oh, in case you're wondering I'll be back in Charlotte Monday night August 8th.

Baby Ritter Arrives!

My college buddy Julie and her husband Kyle had their baby on Monday, March 28th. He was born at 1:05 in the afternoon. He weighed in at 7 lbs., 15 oz. and was 20 inches long. He's adorable. His name is Matthew Kyle Ritter. Here is a picture of the little man.

The Marconi's +1

Hey! The Marconi's had baby Elena last week. Congratulations! Sara and Mike are the two on the bottom. Chris a.k.a. Blackwell was feeling very festive on this occasion...I think this was when we played Bochi Ball at the Marconi homestead. Let me tell you, hills and Bochi Ball do not mix!

Yesterday I went out to McAlpine Park to support Liz and a few hoosiers working at the Avon Walk. Beautiful day to be on a 26 mile walk! Wow that's far. The picture above shows two supports cheering on the walkers as they near the finish line.
